A beautiful park along with a paved trail down the bay! Lots of things to do also while your down there like; and interactive jungle gym, beautiful lights for night walks, a cute dog park. It also has nice places to sit with tables and a great view of the university. The park also has an amazing view of the city. If your looking to take picture with an awesome back round here is the place. The park also holds monthly events.

I always loved the open space environment and modern design. I especially love going here during the night to practice my night photography skills. It's perfect for families during the day with the water fountain open for children to play in and the fun playground (loved playing there when I was younger). There's also a dog park for your dog to go to. I am not giving it a perfect rating because the grass that the design is centralized off of appears like it's dying and either needs to taken better care of. Also, during the school semesters in the night a mass amount college students from University of Tampa like to walk across the bridge and smoke a copious of weed in and around the mini-coliseum area.

Absolutely love this park! So the location is amazing in itself. It's downtown on the water, there's boat docks right there, you have the gorgeous silhouette of the University of Tampa in the background. Lots of restaurants, hotels, and places to visit nearby. There's a large playground for kids that features more than just the usual stuff. There's seating through out and a great big large area of just open field that offers plenty of possibilities for it's use. There's water spouts for kids to play in and an on site restroom. So besides how amazing it is all in it's own, Curtis Hixon Park hosts some of the most awesome events all year long! Too many to even name from yoga, concerts, seasonal events, food truck rallies, fundraisers, and festivals, you name it. Great park, highly recommend.

It's a good place for family. Santa was there from 11am to 4pm for pictures. there's a kids park. the water was on displaying many colors, there's a big Christmas tree and the ice skating ring is officially open. I have to say that last year was nicer, more decorations, lights, and there was music and different shows. yesterday was only the first day so let's see what happens in the next few days. I just wish there was walkers on the ice skating ring to help the kids that never ice skate before.
