Spirit is right this place is truly kind, uplifting and very blessed. I find myself homeless in an illegal eviction but while I was getting a temporary free general delivery service from the USPS spirit suggested I stop in for a recharge and some comfort. McKenzie and Miranda were very kind and generous. I got an iced caramel latte with Oat Milk on the house from a promotion Minor Figures Pat Milk was running and it was perfect! Not too sweet and just what I needed to bring a bit of Faith, Joy and comfort for the Afternoon ‍
Always love the service here but the cold brew is the easily the worst on the east side. I ordered the cold brew pictured black, with extra-light ice. It’s so weak that it’s almost transparent, more the color of iced tea. And since they got rid of Taco Deli, there’s really nothing left here. It’s a shame!
My first time at Cuvée Coffee and it was so cute inside. I had one of the special drinks for January the Snowchata and it was hot chocolate with a twist. It was really good. What I love about this coffee shop is that they close late.Food: 5/5
Good spot to work for a few hours. The outdoor seating is great for some sun and people watching. Coffee is fine, if unremarkable. Staff said some weirdly incorrect things like “a flat white is just a latte” and simply made a mediocre latte instead. Edit: tried again and, sadly, staff still don’t know what a flat white is or how to make one. Charged for a 12 oz latte and got an 8oz cup of milk with a splash of espresso.
Cuvée is one of the top 25 specialty coffee shops in the US. This place seems like a very good spot to work, they have fast and stable WiFi and better coffee. They have a very good variety of single origin specialty coffees from different parts of the world. I tried a pour over from Guatemala, was amazing.
Coffee was good, food options restricted, environment dark, and workers were limited in their enthusiasm for being there. I’d give it a second shot, though b/c their sign rocked. Dietary restrictions: no gluten free options Parking: Gotta walk or park in another parking lot because it’s limited
Their Google said they were open at 7am but it was dark inside at 7:15. No sign or anything but looked inside and saw a ladder so perhaps they’re under renovation.
I enjoy coffee, I know I know, everyone enjoys coffee but hear me out. I'm not a picky guy, in fact most days I'll pull a double shot from my espresso machine throw some cold milk over it and call it a morning. With that being said, when you pay a premium price there is an expectation for a premium product and Cuvee, unfortunately did not deliver that when I visited. I ordered a $4.50 cortado and dropped a $1.50 tip on it. That is $6.00 for some espresso with milk. I'm not cheap and am happy to pay this price, and often do as a treat. With that being said when I pay a premium I expect a premium product. What I got at Cuvee was not that, the shot was burnt and the milk was over frothed and too hot. No latte art either, which is something I expect at the $5+ price point. The coffee was served in a to go cup, and they don't seem to even have "for here cups," which is, once again, something I expect at that premium price point. I visited during a time when they were not crowded too, so I can not give the excuse that it was a breakfast rush. Had this been a $3 cortado we would not be having this conversation. I would be happy because my expectations would have been low. Had the shot been well pulled, in a glass cup with good milk temp/consistency I would have been happy to pay this price. The fact is Austin has strong coffee game, if you want to compete in that game you gotta be good top shelf stuff. This was an experience I might expect to have at a diner in Pflugerville, or Buda, but certainty not in the heart of East Austin.
Miranda and angel were super awesome! They had free coffee with oat milk for their new partnership with an amazing brand. It’s always a treat coming here and enjoying the atmosphere
Employees I've interacted with have been very friendly. The coffee is always spot on, and, for tea lovers, there is a good selection to choose from. The shop has a good vibe; seems like a great place to read or work on that novel you've been putting off. There are alcohol offerings here as well, but I haven't tried any.
