The Danville Volunteer Fire Department is located in Boone County, West Virginia, 30 miles south of the State Capitol City of Charleston.
The Danville VFD is a fully operational Volunteer Fire Department, currently with 40 members.
Our apparatus include 2 Engine/Pumpers, 1 Rescue/Engine, 1 75' Aerial Ladder, 2 Ford F-550 Utility vehicles and a Polaris Ranger Mountain Rescue ATV.
We run 400+ emergency calls per year, responding to numerous types of Fire, Rescue and Medical type calls.
The objective of the Danville Volunteer Fire Department is to provide fire protection, to aid in civil defense emergencies, to aid all concerned in times of distress and emergencies, when and where the services are requested, without recognized boundaries or time, to help eliminate fire hazards, to foster public education of fire prevention and public safety.
