Earl is an elderly, talkative gentleman who is very knowledgeable about computers. However, certain customers may find his personality to be rather abrasive. The computer wiz struggles to remain up-to-date with the latest technology, reportedly nearly causing irreparable damage to a motherboard by trying to forcibly remove the processor socket, only to realize it must be unscrewed first. If you ever order computer parts from the store, save yourself some time and hassle, because you won't find any discount in Earl's services. It is likely he will use your parts to run tests on other computers littering his store without your knowledge or consent. As the main worker of the business which he owns, Earls struggles to meet deadlines. The most disappointing experience is his lack of honesty, through the half-truths he tells his customers in order to buy extra time on delaying projects. No-nonsense customers will find themselves sweet-talked with false hopes of on-time service completion. In terms of promises, the owner oversells and underdelivers. After much pain, you may find yourself quite pleased with the end-product. Earl puts his heart into his work, which borders on obsession. If you don't mind being syphoned into an off-topic conversation for hours and are in no rush to retrieve your electronics, DataCorp may be the shop for you. Conversely, if you are inexperienced in dealing with very difficult individuals, the professionalism of name-brand services like Geek Squad may be worth the extra cost.

Owner spent time to help determine suitable solution even though there was not a lot of profit to be made. Seemed fair and honest.

I feel the need to warn anyone who may enter this store about the experience I just had. The store is a huge mess, the owner smells terrible, is extremely unprofessional, tried to rip me off, and I'm pretty sure he tried to steal from me too. I needed a cable for an external hard drive. I knew it should cost about $5 after looking several places online. He didn't know what kind of cable I needed when I asked, so he told me to just bring in the hard drive. I get to the store, and he isn't there. After calling the store several times, he finally walks up and asks if I'm the guy who needs the hard drive cable. He tells me he left to buy a lottery ticket and he actually left his keys at the gas station and needed me to give him a ride to retrieve them. He was barefoot, and he absolutely REEKED when he got in my car. It smelled like several days since his last shower. We get inside and his store looks more like a hoarder house. Nothing is new, nothing is in packages, its just old, dirty, broken junk everywhere with no organization whatsoever. He comes back with a cable and plugs it into a hard drive. I supposed he just wanted to test it, but then I noticed him browsing through the files and realized it was MY hard drive he was looking through. He says out loud, "You don't have anything I would be interested in." Who does this guy think he is? The stuff I have is just that; MY STUFF, I don't care how interested you are. He then makes a comment about how fast USB 3.0 copies and asks to copy a file to demonstrate. I tell him "No, I'd really rather you didn't," but he starts copying a file anyway. I step closer and notice that its my copy of Windows Server 2008 and snatch the cable out of his computer. Windows Server is not easy to find, nor is it cheap. If all he wanted to do was "demonstrate" he could have chosen one of my word documents. The only reason to copy that file is to keep it after I leave. He then tried to charge me $10 for his used cable. I left immediately before I lost my temper. When I called the store to explain why I left so quickly, he threatened to get rude, so I hung up and blocked his number. He then called me from a private number to leave me a voicemail. I have a feeling it is not an apology. This guy smells terrible, doesn't wear shoes, doesn't know anything about computers, tried to rip me off, invaded my privacy, and tried to steal from me. DO NOT GO HERE!

Very fast and reliable service. I worked with them on a number of occasions and they never failed me. They recovered all the data I thought I had lost from my laptop and fixed my it in no time. Would definitely recommend it for all your computer needs

Good morning to all. I have known Earl since 2008. He has always been there for me. Yes it does take time to get your computer done, but the time is well spent as when you get it back, it's working, and you don't have to take it back to the shop every week. We all have our faults, let us look beyond these things and see the good. Nell Porter
