Our 1st time here and we were so very disappointed. We ordered 2 of the 2 meat dinners, baby back ribs and brisket, and brisket and corned beef. Both meals, the meats were way over done and very tough. Had to use the knife to cut them. The corned beef you couldn't get a fork in to it. We asked the waitress about it and she said sometimes they get a tough cut of meat from their supplier. But all 3 kinds? We noticed some other customers were not pleased with their meals. We were told that there were other complaints to the kitchen. She did bring out another serving of the corned beef in a carry out just before we were leaving, which seemed to be fine. I would think that the staff should know by just looking at the meal, if it's over done and not serve it to the customers.

Service is good, but this place gets very busy. The bar is completely separated from the family dining" and I really appreciate that. But barbecue is all about the meat. Of the several times I've stopped in, the meat has not been a consistently excellent quality--- between the smoking and the cooking process, things just seem unreliable in final food quality. That's why this it's 4 stars not 5.

David Alan Alan's was delicious. From the pig tail fries to the side of cole slaw and all the way to the brisket jalapeno burger, nothing disappointed. Everything was delicious. At the table you can choose from 5 different bbq sauces. The service was very friendly and courteous. The food came out a little slow but was well worth the wait. I can't wait to go back.

I was just heading home, a few hundred miles to go, when I felt the need to consume some type of nutriment. I'm sitting in front of a chain food place, thinking that I should do myself s favor, and seek out something better. Looking back I should have went to the fast food place, only because, I may have been able to postpone my inevitable heart attack a couple of months. Outstanding. As soon as I walked in the smell of the smokey goodness caused me to start drooling. I then proceeded to order more food than any one person should ever eat. The okra, my mom would've moved if she'd been here to try it, she was southern, so okra was a staple. The mac'n' cheese ball and six cheese Mac, thick sliced bacon was a meal in itself, but oh no here is this half pound hand pattied cooked to perfection burger. Oh and don't forget the cheese, cheddar and gouda, all on a fantastic pretzel bun. Man I love Wisconsin

The food was good and had a decent atmosphere. I had the DAA burger and my wife had the brisket sandwich. Both were very good but it seemed like they seasoned them so you would still want to add the barbecue sauces that they had at the table, which is fine by me since I thought all of their sauces were delicious. I would definitely recommend it if you're in the area.
