I had the experience workiing with David as his co-worker, Brad. My dad opened up his jewelery store in 1948 & retired in 1989. I purchased and operated until 2008. My father was a watch repairman. He hired out for jewelry repairs. I met David who was looking for a space to rent for his Jewelry Repair Business. I needed a goldsmith at that time and I owned the building and had rental space available. From that day on we used David exclusively from repairs to custom designs. He can talk you thru the process, make artistic sketches, use your gold in the casting if desired. He will make the wax to cast and then the finished product. I have never seen such a smooth transition from concept to finished product. If you never been in his store you are missing a great opportunity to meet David and Brad. He also continues our history in the building he is in as well as his location. There has been a jeweler in this same location continuouly for over 100 years. My dad purchased the building in 1963 and when I had my retirement sale in 2008 I sold the building and moved to Florida. Please visit David Huffman Fine Jewelry next time you are on Main Street or in the looking or buying mood for jewelry. I love that our Family neon sign still remains on the building. I worked with David to create a custom designed wedding band and engagement ring. He was able to reclaim the gold and diamonds from my mother's badly worn set. Other jewelers asked me to pick a setting from a catalog and we'd scrap the gold. That option was not only more expensive but dispassionate as I didn't like the idea of scrapping the gold. My rings are more beautiful than I expected, they're a one-of-a-kind set, and still completely sentimental. I wouldn't trust anyone else.
