I had need of a criminal attorney, after false charges were inflated by one state office. I had originally been assigned a court appointed attorney. The man was polite, but I did not feel he could defend me as aggressively as I was being prosecuted. Months later, I was able to acquire David as my attorney, after paying a reasonable retainer. For four months I was being told by the court appointed attorney, that even though I was innocent, I should just settle for a plea to avoid prison time. This realization of his words, caused me so much mental anxiety that I suffered major medical problems. I'm not blaming Mr Pro-Bono for that, but he added greatly to my stress levels. 

From the moment, I meet David he reassured me and reminded me that State had not even started to meet the level of proof for the charges against me. It took three months before David and I finally stood before a judge..... I promise this is TRUE - as soon as the "free" attorney was being replaced with Attorney David Watts the charges WERE Dropped. When I first meet with David, he made me feel so protected legally - he never said your going to prison if you don't take a plea. I was comfortable with David and his staff from the start. Ironically, we were from the same small town. One of the most important things David told me - I've got a SUV outside. Who better to clean it? The first person that offers to clean it for "free".? Or would it be better a hire the person that offers his knowledge, experience?  That knowledge and experience  has a price tag of $200 to clean that same SVU? So just be careful of letting the system / people charging you to accept their "gift" of a free attorney. You get what you pay for. David of course, does his fair share of pro-bono work. If there is anyway, even in it takes a few months, save up for your retainer fee. I would recommend David to anyone that needed his services. From the bottom of my heart I appreciate David and staff. You will never know what a gift you gave me!!! You both saved my life!!! Thank you so very much!!! Autumn /pen name.

I have nothing but praise for David Watts and his legal representation.  He was highly recommended to me by another practicing criminal defense attorney in Hays County.  Without David's representation, I could have received an immensely harsher sentence as a consequence of an alcohol-related arrest. David kept me well-informed of the realities of my case. I highly recommend David to anyone who can follow simple instructions and cares about their future.

My son was in need of a lawyer. He was just about 3weeks away from going to Court. David watts was Highly recommended from another Lawyer. David took over my sons case and did a great job! He was very honest and didn't tell you what you wanted to hear, he said the honest truth. He was there to answer all my questions. Returned every phone call that was made to him. He even helped me out with a payment plan. I would highly recommend David!
