i have gone to this guy twice now to get a port placed. the first time i went to him he dug out part of my boob and could give me any good reason as to why he did it so why they werent able to use it for my first treatment i was forced to get chemo through my arm the next treatment they ha to get a longest needle they had which i believe was 1 and a half inches long and it wasnt long enough so they order the longest needle they could which was 2 and a half inches long and that one wasnt long enough either  go to him again you ask because he said he would let me as much as possible pick where he put my port this time i was sure that meant no problems. 3 weeks down the road i start to feel a sharp pain in my neck around my port area i give my oncologist a call and they tell me to they will get me in to see dr mortensen because he is the one who put it in i call on a monday and had a worked in appointment on tuesday morning when i went in to see dr mortensen he looked at me did NOT touch me at ALL and said it was because of surgery three weeks ago and sent me on my way now here i am a week later at the oncologist ready to get chemo and my port isnt working. no matter how hard they tried so concurred and as apart of their job they where going to figure out why this is where it gets good mortensen wrote in his note that when he saw me on tuesday he was able use my port when i was when i saw him which was and is a lie which concurred them even more so they decided the best way to figure out why my port isnt working is  to put some dye in it to figure out whats going on turns out i dont have one but 3 kinks the tube which is why they couldnt get anything in or out they told me i will have to have surgery to get it fix so i have to STOP my chemo treatment until it replaced 2 weeks is how long my treatment will be delayed because of his negligence i am very unhappy with the care i have received from this man and he should be a shamed to call himself a doctor I WOULD NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS GO BACK TO HIS MAN  nor will i recommend him to anyone he is careless and should be FIRED

Has preformed surgery on me. I like him, nice guy. And I trust him.

I was initially happy.  I started having pain again  returned to doc, with new lump in belly button.  Was told nothing wrong.  Told hom pain is like before first repair, he basically blew me off.  I will see a new surgeon who hoepfully cares and will listen.  Avoid this doc.  I really thought he cared.
