Even though it appears on numerous websites and still shows up on a map, this is no longer a recognized campground by the forest service. It's a shame because this is a really nice spot to camp. We had a Ranger stop and explain to us that even though the area does not have signs to support this, what was formerly Davies Creek Campground is now day use only. In fact all areas surrounding all three reservoirs in that area are day use only...unless it's a pay campground. Wonder why that is? So camp at your own risk. Once again the California Forest service has limited access to a really nice area.
