Now for two years in a row, our group has stopped at the Davis House for lunch when traveling to Ellijay to enjoy the Fall colors and buy apples.  It's cafeteria style, served somewhat quickly but certainly not at a hurried pace like we see down here in Atlanta.  Owner was nice and friendly as he helped serve and banter with the customers.  A couple of locals stopped by the serving line and chatted with us.  The waitress took care of a lot of folks, but did her job well.  And the food indeed country and good.  This will likely be our go-to place for upcoming trips.  Thank you for accommodating us so well.

Went this morning. Grits were watery,sausage was hard, asked for buttered toast, it was warm bread. Server asked how was everything.I told her "Not so good" she said okay and walked away. Went to pay and apparently prices have gone up. Almost $9 for breakfast. Really like the servers.

Jeff and his team are always so nice. Great price for all the food you get! You won't leave hungry.
