The Sheriff, with a staff made up of a Chief Deputy, four field deputies and three office personnel, is responsible for Law Enforcement and Civil Process for the 437 square miles of Davison County, SD. This includes the towns of Ethan, Mt Vernon and Loomis.
The Davison Co. Sheriff's Office also manages a 73 bed adult jail. The jail staff consists of 17 full-time and 6 part-time Corrections Officers under the supervision of a Jail Administrator.
The Davison Co. Jail also runs the Davison County site of the SD Attorney Generals 24/7 Sobriety Program.
