Story

As a funeral home, Day & Carter has a long history and tradition of serving the community of Bedford, Lawrence County, and surrounding areas. Since our founding, which is traced back to 1889, our Funeral Home has been serving the people of Lawrence County and the organizations/charities of the local community with great pride and joy.

Our professional staff of Funeral Directors, Office Managers, Staff Attendants, and Greeters strive to offer the very best care to our families during their times of need. We have made great investments and strides in order to meet our goal of offering the best facilities, vehicles, and services possible.
