Days Market is your neighborhood grocery store that strives to provide quality customer service, products, value and positive atmosphere.
History
In 1972, Gerald Day bought the property where he would build his Heber Valley grocery store. A year later, in 1973, the building was constructed and Gerald opened up for business with his four teenage sons: Carl, Alan, Byron, and Steven. The brothers were put to work in the original Day’s Market and learned how to work well together as a team. As their father opened other Day’s Market locations in the area, the brothers continued to help with daily operations, learning more about the business, and the communities that supported each location.
As the nineties came to a close, Gerald began to consider retirement and the Day brothers dreamed of buying the business and making their own way in the business world that their father had developed for them. It was 1997 when their father decided to step down and the four brothers jointly bought the business focusing on a the Provo as well as the Heber City Day’s Market locations, and each of the brothers filled a primary role in the running of the two stores.
Byron, Steven, Alan and Carl have been dedicated to the success of the Day’s Markets and to the communities that surround them. Day’s Market is surrounded by communities that have remained loyal over the years, despite the influx of large box stores. The owners of Day’s Market believe that their philosophy of “community comes first” has been the secret of their success.
