We stayed there for the State vs. LSU game. The room was a really good size. It had two queen size beds and plenty of space left over. The room appears to have been remodeled recently. It was really clean....I looked under the mattresses and everything, the bathroom was also really clean! This is an older hotel, so if you want new/top of the line, it isn't for you. If you want a nice clean room with a comfortable bed to get a good night rest, you are golden! The free  WiFi was also good and fast, too!

Room smelled awful when we got here. Door didn't close up well you could still see light around the door seal. Bottom of refrigerator was rusted out. No where to park because of all the construction workers vehicles and dump trucks taking up all the parking lot and out going exit. Breakfast consisted of waffles, prepackaged sausage and biscuits that had to be microwaved and cereal. In a non smoking room and smelled smoke all night. Didn't feel safe at the swimming pool so we didn't go. I will say the bed and pillows were very comfortable

Nothing real fancy, but staff was nice, room was clean, an excellent "hole in the wall" bbq place was only one door to the east, and the area seems to be in a safe part of town. I'll stay there again.

AVOID THIS HOTEL! ITS A SCAM! We drove four hours to get to my son's college, and when we got there they didn't have the hotel room I reserved (A non smoking room). One of the first questions they asked me was, "You wanted a smoking room, right?" Like they knew they had screwed up. I showed the staff my reservation through the travel agency. Which did not say smoking. They told me that the travel sites make that mistake all of the time. They told me that the room  I reserved rarely gets rented and gets used as both smoking and non smoking. I looked at the room, it smelled like mold and cigarettes, and it looked dark and dingy. Well, my wife doesn't smoke, and my son was sick with a bad cold, so told them that we couldn't stay. That's when the manager told me that she was going to charge me even if I couldn't stay. Even though they weren't willing to accommodate us. I told them I would pay extra for a non smoking room. No go. I don't think they have non smoking rooms. Looks like I got the old bait and switch. I ended up paying 200+ for a nights sleep because of this place. AVOID THIS HOTEL! ITS A SCAM! 
My recommendation, if there's nothing else in Starkville, go to the next town over and stay there.

Very nice hotel. Updated and clean. Super nice staff. Would stay again.
