I have called Dayton PD a few times since moving to the Belmont neighborhood in the late 90s. 

The responding officers, as well as the dispatchers I've spoken with, have always shown the appropriate concern for the matter at hand and have always demonstrated professionalism.

I am sitting at Penn Station on Brown street watching the traffic flow.  I do this quite frequently since I dine in the area at noon several times a week.  I am shocked at the percentage of illegal left turns by drivers with no respect to the posted sign near the intersection, as well as the numerous times Jimmy Johns drivers illegally park. Traffic flow is many times bottle necked because of both. In the 6 years I have been watching, I witnessed 2 parking tickets and no citations for illegal turns. 

Help make the intersection safe again!

The officers that responded to my home this past Sunday were extremely unprofessional. Not only was my mother-in-law injured when they arrested my husband, but the wonderful officer who spoke to me didn't even inquire about her when it was over. All he did was intimidate me into not signing an affidavit against him and the other officers. My husband was taken to the hospital and while there was made to tolerate insults about me from the Sargent. In the military they have this charge in the UCMJ called "conduct unbecoming an officer".
Per the usual, DPD chose the low road. And, they wonder why the public neither trusts or respects them. Hmmmm

I have no confidence in the second district police other than to make the Belmont neighborhood worse, if it is unaware to the officers there the motto is too Serve and Protect not hide and do nothing. these officers are a disgrace to the shield and uniform God help us because they won't!
