Only bad part of this restaurant is that is a bit on the smaller side so it's very easy to hear neighboring table conversations. But that wasn't even a big issue.. the decorations, clean table tops, and amazing food were over the top for Stockton. My husband and I both ordered pasta dishes that were out of this world. Our server was very friendly and all staff members were on point. They removed dishes the second they were emptied and refilled as needed. But the reason for this review was our host Claire! She was so sweet and friendly. She scrambled to make our reservations and went above and beyond. Even went to check on our table frequently... amazing place thank you all we will be back.
Had the greatest lunch today I used to visit frequently with my late father. The French dip was always our favorite. Today it was just as good as I remember. Tender meat on a soft warm toasty croissant. It brought back so many good memories.Food: 5/5
My first experience at De Vega Brothers was delightful. It was a very fine dinner. When I was seated, I received garlic bread at the center of the table and iced water garnished with a slice of lemon and cucumber. I ordered a delicious bruschetta that was full of fresh flavors. The bruschetta has toasted bread with diced tomatoes, onions, mangos, minced parsley, and shredded cheese. I ordered an ‘a la carte’ with a choice of Ravioli, Alfredo sauce, and Chicken. Although the pasta was such a large portion, I was able to take the pasta to go and still enjoy it at home. I love the idea of choosing my own pasta noodles and preferred sauce. A La Carte would be the perfect pasta menu for anyone who likes to build their own plate. Had lunch here ordered French dip. Sandwich and fries were tasty. Although it smelled in the back part of restaurant as if a sewer back up happened.Food: 4/5
Called to inquire about a reservation on the drive out to this restaurant over an hour and a half before their stated closing time with my wife. The male host who answered the phone mentioned they weren't doing reservations right now because of a large party coming in and that actually they'd be closing early and wouldn't take my business. He was lacking customer service skills on the phone and decided to close the restaurant at 8:20pm on a Friday. I turned around on the freeway to take my business elsewhere but called to speak to the manager on the way. I left my info with a female who answered the phone and was told the manager was busy but would call back. Never got a call back and never would attempt to go back. Talk about an unprofessional staff and management, I can see it funnels down from the top.
Really liked that it was a quieter setting for 21 of us so that conversation could be had without yelling over a place full of people. Staff were very attentive & personable & took the time to tell us all she was thankful for us choosing to have our holiday lunch there.Food: 5/5
This was my first time at De Vega Brothers, and I greatly enjoyed it. The eggplant parmigiana was perfectly cooked. Elsa was very attentive and made our experience all the more pleasant.Food: 5/5
Friendly service but just average food. Chicken Marsala had cream in it and the pasta was over cooked with very reduced tomato sauce. They said the Italian dressing was homemade but it was slimy like good seasons packaged dressing. NOT GOOD.
My first time trying Da Vega brothers because I heard great things. I ordered a chicken pasta with minestrone soup. The soup was a bit sour for my taste, but the pasta was pretty good. I was a bit disappointed by the presentation of the bread. It was very hard, and I’m pretty sure they gave me what was left over. Probably wouldn’t go out of my way to come eat here again unless invited to. Staff was friendly.
Heard great things here came for dinner and it was ok, the asparagus were great, very tasty, my husband had spaghetti and I ordered the steak. Was ok, tasted charred little to over cooked with the vegetables. The spaghetti was alright, not the best. Service was good, very nice in there. Food could have been better.Food: 3/5
