After talking with several Deck Builders I settled with DeckMaster as Jose Ugalde was professional and easy to make a decision with. He gave me a reasonable price and I was confident that I will get my value for the money. I was given a start date fairly quickly and the job was completed to satisfaction within four days. The foreman assigned to my job Oscar was extremely detail oriented and worked diligently to do a super job! Thank you Jose for a job well done! Amazing Customer Service from calling for an estimate to the completion of the deck project. I would HIGHLY recommend Deck Master. The crew did a great job. Great company to work with!!! Project was completed quickly, faster than expected.

We had a very complicated roof deck situation on our Capitol Hill home, and Jose and his company Deckmaster handled it professionally, quickly and we are 100% happy with the results. Jose was extremely patient, and did a lot of work just to prepare the contract/quote on our roof deck. Once we gave the go ahead, he got to work very quickly, and did a phenomenal job. Given that the deck is on top of a row house, he had to work with a relatively small landing site for the stairs, and was able to devise a pretty ingenious plan that looks good, is safe, and passed inspection. Because we were "penny wise, pound foolish" in the past with other contractors, we needed to actually take up the entire deck, and replace it with something built from scratch. Jose really understands the intricacies of the inspection process, which is vitally important. We also live overseas, and Jose was able to handle everything (permits etc) even though we were out of the country. I recommend him and his company fully. Seriously - we own a few houses in DC, and over the years, have worked with a number of contractors. Jose is one of the best we have ever worked with. Stop looking for a contractor - just hire him and his team.

Deck Master provided high quality customer service. They were available, easy to reach and they responded right away to my inquiries and concerns. I am also very happy with the end result of my new deck. It came out better than I imagined. I definitely recommend Deck Master to all my friends and family.
