Decorah Fire Department volunteer firefighters provide fire and rescue services in Decorah and the surrounding area.
The Decorah Fire Department is staffed by a maximum of 35 volunteer firefighters and 3 full-time engineers who work rotating 24 hour shifts.
The Decorah Fire Department proudly services the City of Decorah and through an agreement with the Decorah Rural Fire Protective association the residents of Decorah, Glenwood, Canoe, Pleasant Townships and portions of Madison, Bluffton, Burr Oak, Hesper, Highland and Springfield townships.
The Decorah Fire Department is committed to providing rapid, high quality emergency services through teamwork and leadership, utilizing highly trained volunteers dedicated to the well being of our community twenty-four hours per day.
