I had a great experience at Deerfield Island today. I want to especially thank Justin and Carlos for being very interactive with my kids on the boat ride over. They were very excited when they got to the island. We went on a scavenger hunt and even got a prize on our way out from another pair of very nice employees. Fun experience and great staff!Thanks a lot.

Nice quick boat shuttle which is free. I paddled there on sup and and walked around the island.  It's a nice trail and different views of the water from different sides of island.  We saw a racoon there with a beautiful tail.

Fun free activity for families. Nice nature trails. There is a small butterfly garden and lots of picnic tables with grills. They even provide a scavenger hunt sheet and prizes for the little ones at the information booth. One of the boardwalks is still closed due to damage from the last hurricane.

Amazing! The launching dock from Sullivan Park overlooks the Hillsborough drawbridge and the Island. Nice park, kid friendly, well kept. Once you enter the island trail, it's so tranquil and the fauna is captivating.

We circled the island once on kayak and I must say, it was a perfect workout! The scenery to accompany the drift was amazing for pictures with it's low hanging trees and mangeoves. I'd love to see more spots like this in SoFlo and I'm glad the city has kept this area under protection. Perfect for a family day or a relaxing retreat!
