Went to DFG for a big dinner in one of their private rooms in the back and had a wonderful meal with excellent service. Usually prefer the traditional setting in the DTC but the level of attention to detail from the waitstaff plus the quality of food from the sides to the dessert was top notch. The Pittsburgh bone-in rib-eye was dynamite, would def order again for the next special occasion. Side note, the art around the restaurant is pretty awesome for a steakhouse.
Amazing food, but service was lacking. The Food: The filet mignonette was absolutely amazing. Cooked to perfection and seasoned nicely. We got the truffle butter with it and it’s an absolute must have! So flavorful and added so much to each bite. The mashed potatoes weren’t anything special, just a basic chunky mashed potatoe. We got an extra side of Brussels sprouts which were tasty but a little undercooked and too crunchy. The drinks were nice, the rose drink had a little popsicle in it which was fun! The Service: Our waitress seemed out of it as she was serving us the whole night. She seemed a little jittery, and not very present. She forgot to take the empty wine glasses off the table so the table was cluttered. She would disappear for periods of time leaving us with empty water. I wanted another alcoholic drink, so I had to ask a different member of the staff to find her. I watched as he he walked over the entire restaurant looking for her, and then saw him stop and ask two different waiters where she was. I asked her for her help with navigating an allergy, and she forgot that one of the sides had dairy in it, so I had to ask them to make me some thing else after the food has been served. This left me with eating the main course by itself completely and then having my side afterwards alone. She did look busy with other tables, so I understand that. But, I was expecting more from a restaurant of this quality.
Waitress was good I am allergic to avocado and they never told me it was made with apricot and Ranch the food portions was very small for the price my husband got the burger and it was very good so all the other food not the best very nice place elegant except I'm a national touring comedian Boomarang I had My Family from Atlanta it was 11 of us money is not no problem when you got to have good food at an elegant place I have all around the world this is not the one we was very unhappy and put on please on the food and the price. and I will not be coming back to this restaurant Thank You
Our steaks were cooked perfectly. The Truffle butter is a must. Our server Caitlin was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Overall a very good dinner. Will return when in Denver.
My business partner and friend had a birthday My gift was dinner and drinks for he and his wife. My wife and I knew he loved a great steak so this was our choice. Not our first time there. His choice was excellent. The drinks were excellent,as was the wine. Our server, Alex, was beyond attentive! It's pricey but a great overall evening. Worth the $370 before the tip for the 4 of us. It's an all time favorite of ours and we'll do again, alone or with others.
Disappointment. Went to dinner on Christmas. It wasn’t busy but waiters forgot child’s orange juice and husbands sauce. Prime rib was served without any sides. And sautéed asparagus without anything on the top. Overall service was bad and food - okay, but not for the price. Do not recommend.
I keep going back and I don't know why... We choose to dine on the rooftop which is open seating. We found a nice table that had yet to be cleared of glasses and the check from the previous diners. After 10-15 minutes we took it upon ourselves to clear the table so we could be seated. The servers were very nice but it seems that they are understaffed and probably a bit overworked. Appetizers and Drinks is what I would recommend. The mains are disappointing to say the least. The Steaks were undercooked again as all the steaks came out rare with a cool center regardless of the temperature you had requested. The outside of my steak was charred and all the steaks were a bit tough. The lobster tail was soft and mushy instead of being firm or crisp and gave us pause as we wondered if it was fresh and safe to eat. We choose not to take the risk. Same story with the shrimp cocktail. Some of the shrimp were fresh and properly cleaned while others were soft and mushy and had not had the digestive tract fully removed as would be expected. The location is great with the bar, dining room and rooftop providing a wonderful atmosphere. So if your in the mood for just drinks and appetizers this is a very good spot.
What an amazing dining experience. The fish and chips were hands down the best I've ever eaten. The scallops were expertly seared yet buttery and firm at the same time. The host was very friendly, knowledgeable and unobtrusively attentive. Lastly, the margaritas, I don't think I can ever describe the way they were expertly mixed and balanced. Hope to return soon with friends and family. Outstanding!
During an early business dinner 4pm, our party was greeted with ice-cold and impersonal attitudes from the staff in the bar area. I give folks grace and realize we have rough days, but the negative temperament of the staff was palpable, to the point where my guest wanted to leave. I'm aware of the staffing issues and other larger challenges the industry is facing, and I've had many wonderful dinning experiences elsewhere recently. I'll be sure to redirect my business to those establishments with hopes Del Frisco's can offer a satisfactory environment that warrants its price tag we spent $100/person.
We went there for Thanksgiving. I've never been. The food was lackluster at best. Three turkey was super tender but the gravy tasted like it can from a can or a powder. The stuffing was most unpleasant as well. The masked potatoes were good once you scraped off the gravy. The staff was amazing and their sidecar drink was incredible.Food: 2/5
