We are a small animal practice that offers full service veterinary care. We believe that a healthy pet is a happy pet!

Story

Del Valle Pet Hospital is committed to providing the highest quality of veterinary medicine to the animals of the Tri-Valley area of Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. Each veterinarian and team member is deeply committed to the health and well-being of your pet. We love dogs and cats as much as you do!

We believe healthy pets make happy people. Our veterinarians and staff use on-site x-rays, EKG, blood pressure and laboratory tests to diagnose pet diseases, and have veterinary specialists on-call for in clinic orthopedic surgery and ultrasound exams. Twice daily an outside veterinary laboratory retrieves our samples and then provide the doctors with the results that were performed with the latest technology at a nationally recognized veterinary laboratory staffed by board certified veterinary specialists.

In a further effort to offer cutting edge veterinary medical technology our doctors may consult with or refer pets to a local network of veterinary specialists in surgery, radiology, internal medicine, neurology, dermatology, cardiology, ophthalmology, and orthopedic surgery.

When someone calls to get quotes on vaccines and exams, it is probably important to not laugh in annoyance at your future customer. I have never had a puppy, and am calling around for prices and to get a feel on a good Vet in the Livermore area. When I called Del Valle, I got "it depends on when you bring them in, how old they are, how many they need..." So I said, "he will have his first shots from the breeder, and he will be 10 weeks old. I don't know how many he needs because this will be my first pet." And her response was "ha, well that doesn't help." She went on to tell me that I would have to do an initial exam, and continued to sound annoyed and that she had no interest in helping me understand this process at all. I will never go here and although I should give one star, I don't want to take away from the potentially great staff that has actually had some training and probably manners. Del Valle Animal Hospital should seriously consider a new secretary. I can imagine I'm not the only pet owner who will go somewhere else due to the lack of understanding, caring and teaching done on the end of their staff.

They are wonderful! They have been able to squeeze my dogs in when there has been an emergency. The staff was willing to move appointments around and switch some appointments to make sure that my dog was okay. I know they have switched some appointments on me in the past when it was just a check up and I am so relieved they were able to do it for me in my time of need.

Being new pet owners we wanted to get the best services possible for our new boy. The vet was able to answer all of our questions and take care of all the shots that we needed. We look forward to going back to keep him healthy.

The staff and doctors are all very caring and follow up with you after procedures. They have called to make sure that my pets are always doing well. I appreciate the extra care that they give my pets.

The doctors and staff are very kind and caring. They always greet myself and my pet when we walk in for our appointments. They make you feel very welcome. I would highly recommend them to my friends with pets.
