I have lived here since Feb 2017, and Deland Water is the WORST.  The first bill I received was for 1000 gallons even though I had only lived there for four days.  When I complained, they shut my water off.  The next month, they sent me a 'final' bill as if I were moving.  When I called, they told me it must have been a clerical error.  This month there is a charge which has no explanation.  I am one person living along and my bill is over 100.00.  In addition, the garbage charge increases EVERY month.  If you can avoid dealing with them, do it.  Do NOT use Deland Water if you can help it.  They are the absolute worst.

I agree with the previous reviews. Deland water & utilites is horrible even compared to other counties. We pay for water coming in and out - even if you have a pool and the water is not going out. The water quality is bad, The treatment plant stinks and the employees are rude and entitled.
What can you expect from a city riddled with homeless that builds a multimillion dollar concession stand for tennis courts instead of a homeless shelter.

I called to have the direct draft stopped since I had changed banks. They still tried to draft from that account and had the nerve to charge me a return fee! Then told me they never had the conversation with me about taking the old bank off. Employees are VERY rude and it sucks bc we don't have any other choice. We're stuck and it's UNFAIR. I'll be looking to move back to Deltona. DELAND WATER IS RUDE AND RUTHLESS.

Business practices are very unethical. Very disappointed, can't even bring myself to give a one star rating.

Sewer price is extremely high. I'm never happy with my bill payment. If I spend 23.41 on water the sewer price is 51.86 they double the price it's not fair.and its to expensive.
