Story

Mission: To advance the knowledge and appreciation of dance in the community and region through instruction, performances, and outreach programs: to provide the highest quality educational opportunities possible in all aspects of dance to anyone desiring such education: to be viewed as a community and regional leader in preparing students for a professional career in dance.

"We strive to provide our students with the highest quality dance education possible, so whether they are with us for one year or many, they will leave with a love and appreciation of the art of dance, as well as a sense of self-worth and accomplishment. Our goal is to instill qualities that will carry students through their entire lives, whether they choose to pursue a career in dance or another field. Having the opportunity to view, converse and associate with professional company members, choreographers and directors provides the students a chance to develop unique relationships that very few young aspiring dancers can experience.As a non-profit organization, DDC depends on foundation grants, fundraising events and private donations."
