I'm not going to beat around the bush. This place is very nice for the price. There is a pool and sauna. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly. The elevator was fast. There are restaurants in the area and we could easily walk around the downtown core. We had lots of fun exploring the city and taking in the sites. This was a good home base for our trip.

I visited the hotel to check in on behalf of a pair of newlyweds who would be arriving much later in the evening, following their reception. The main lobby and reception area are very clean and inviting, having been recently renovated. The suite itself was very nice, with high quality furniture and (basically) floor to ceiling windows in the bedroom and adjoining living room. I found the audiovisual set-up very professional, with cables to mirror your computer's screen, etc. I was a bit surprised however that there was no bath tub. It would have been a very nice gesture to have had in the room fresh flowers or champagne or at a minimum, congratulatory chocolates for the newlyweds, considering the number of rooms that they booked for their wedding guests. But I suppose this could have been offered to them upon their arrival. Overall a nice establishment.

I attended a professional conference here today and was very impressed with the conference rooms and all the staff involved in making the day run smoothly. Staff were always on hand to provide assistance and information. Refreshments provided were plentiful but very few options for the vegan guest. The gala dinner provided was incredible, with the offering of a vegan menu option for the main course. Staff seemed a bit confused about what a vegan diet was, attempting to offer me soup drizzled with cream and salad covered with goat cheese. Food aside, this was an excellent venue for the conference and gala attended. Plenty of underground parking and within walking distance of Parliament Hill, Sparks Street and the Byward Market.

My stay was enjoyable and I don't have much to complain about. The rooms were clean, service was quick and staff were friendly. Would stay again.

Good for a very short stay where you don't actually have to spend a lot of time in your hotel room. The gorgeous lobby and bar belie the state of the rooms that await above. Beware, only the first three floors have been renovated. Brace yourself for Soviet era austerity and drab decor on the floors above. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly.
