Story

In the name of Allah, The Beneficent, The Merciful

Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching and argue them in ways that are best and most gracious, for your Lord knows the best who strays from his path and who receives guidance. (Holy Quran, Nahl 16:125)

Mission

A Muslim is one who believes in Allah and strives for the total reorganization of one’s life according to the guidance revealed by Allah, the Quran and sayings and practice of the Prophet Mohammad (Sal-Allaho-Alay-hay-Wasal-lam). A Muslim also works to create a human society on the same basis.

Some examples are given below :

· A Muslim prays five times a day.

· Fast one month, during the month of Ramadan.

· Pays Zakat (charity)

· Pilgrimage to Mecca, once in a lifetime.

· Treats everyone equally.

“All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over a black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not, therefore, do injustice to yourselves.”(1)

· Muslim men and women are equal according to the Holy Quran

“O People, it is true that you have certain rights over your women, but they also have rights over you. Remember that you have taken them as your wives only under God's trust and with His permission. If they abide by your right then to them belongs the right to be fed and clothed in kindness. Treat your women well and be kind to them, for they are your partners and committed helpers. It is your right that they do not make friends with anyone of whom you do not approve, as well as never to be unchaste.”(2)
