I have been working with this Department of Family Services for nearly 5 and a half years. I understand family reunification is the ultimate goal but sometimes that is not the best for the children. The lack of communication to the grandparents is appalling. I have made so many phone calls that usually remain unanswered. I was good enough to have custody for nearly 3 years but now I cannot even get a call that the children have been removed AGAIN and placed into foster care.
If you want to protect your children, do it yourself. They won't do it for you.
Staff is rude. Very unprofessional. They lie they said they would check in 2 times a week and still have not showed up. They say they will help but just make matters worse. Sexual assault in the home and they will not remove the child because there is no evidence. Won’t investigate the abuser until child is out of the home but won’t remove the child...... what good are they if they can’t even do that....... files a court report but won’t provide any information on the file. Very discouraging....
Unprofessional staff, stand around and chat while you are waiting. They don't return phone calls. You have to wait forever to get any information on your case.
Ok. I'm a senior who is struggling. Why would your staff be so rude when we need help.
You can't find out if you can fax your application because they aren't open and you need snap benefits or not
Employees are rude and unprofessional this is the worst businesse in government. For familes
