This is a clean restaurant with exceptional character, a warm friendly atmosphere, great food, and very reasonable prices. It's an undiscovered gem in Palmer Lake CO. It has a railroad theme with railroad pictures and memorabilia almost completely covering all the walls. Many of the menu items are named after railroad jargon. We had a "260 Locomotive" (burrito smothered in green chili) and a "Wabash" (hamburger smothered in green chili). The green chili is homemade, delicious, but not terribly spicy. Both were delicious and we left stuffed. It is located right across from the lake (THE Palmer Lake), with the railroad in between the restaurant and the lake. We saw three trains go by while we were there. We will definitely be back . . . often.

Owner is meticulous and very kind. We love the menu and food. Just down home nothing fancy. It's definitely what locals love about it.

Stopped here for breakfast (served on Sundays only). Great food - you have to try the homemade green chili, it's amazing. Staff are attentive and friendly. And they have Goose Island IPA on draft!
