I've purchased books here many times- two things are notable: One, the space is practically alive with art. Every time I visit I find fresh titles and new books I've never heard of. Two, the owner not only puts a great deal of care into choosing what is in the store, but that is not the only thing that makes him a great curator of his space: he makes careful, thoughtful recommendations to people who may not know what they're looking for, but are looking for something; and he is remarkably good ad understanding what a person likes and could enjoy after not many questions. Over the years I've seen him put tremendous energy into the community around him and grow things that have really taken root, not just because his store is some commercial endeavor, but because that is just who he is.

The best comic store in New York! This store, and the owner, actively supports artists and is always turning over stones, searching for new gems to share. Thanks guys!

This store is a vibrant oasis of color and prioritizes artist expression... there's a lot of diversity... it's got so many gems I wish this was my personal library. Gabe is the thoughtful and clever owner, and his store is clearly the product of a labour of love. Visiting his store and having a chat with him was one of the best parts of living in the neighborhood. +A will visit over and over again.

The best comic shop in Brooklyn, maybe all of NYC area. Focused on smaller titles and weirdo art, this little shop is perfect for people who love comics but don't care about mainstream titles. Ask about Smoke Signal! This store publishes their own comic newspaper, and it's available for free!!

Gabe is extremely knowledgable about comics and works hard to ensure that the medium continues to thrive on a local level. His work on RESIST! and contributions to 'zine culture is second to none. This is a great store. Check it out when you're in Brooklyn.
