Our mission is to provide our clients with compassionate and quality medical care for animals of all sizes. Services include: Preventative health care and vaccinations, elective surgery, emergency care, dentistry, in-house laboratory services, state of the art treatment for disease and trama, regular and prescription science diet pet food products, boarding and grooming services.

They have always taken great care of my dogs and today they came out to my house to treat one of my horses that was lame.  They took the time to explain what was going on with my horse and made sure we knew how to properly treat him.  If you are looking for a vet for your horses give them a call and have Rex come out and take care of them.

Of all the clinics in the area, Desert View provides the best care.  This does come at a price however, as the expense of care is often nearly double what you will pay anywhere else in the county.  They are always quite busy, much like a hospital E.R., and while the staff and Dr. Stephanie are always pleasant and professional it is often evident that they are tired.  

With several different pets and the ability to pay the high prices we were frequent visitors of the clinic for some time.  Treatment was excellent and equipment was top of the line.  As time passed though we grew weary of the "You're just a number" relationship we seemed to have with the staff and veterinary doctors there.  They are so popular and so busy that the patient/client relationship is often glossed over.   What becomes glaringly apparent over time is that money is what is the most important aspect at Desert View - not the clientele or the animals the bring in.  After a traumatic case of having to cancel a medication order there because our pet was clearly dying and wouldn't need it anymore, a heated discussion ensued with the front office staff over a $25 cancellation fee. This was despite hundreds of dollars being spent on the latest and last visit for the animal, and thousands of dollars a year being spent there overall.  Dr. Stephanie became involved and still they wouldn't budge.  Caring more about $25 rather than our sorrow of losing our pet or just for the animal itself simply isn't what we want to see out of the medical provider for our animals. Sadly we have decided to look elsewhere for care where a more empathetic environment is present.
