Different location than the one listed, but same wonderful owner and hair stylist. I am as picky as they come and the quality of work is amazing. The previous review failed to paint the accurate picture. Owner, Latrice, is an expert and perfectionist in her craft. She has done styling for major fashion editorials, runway models, and famous sports teams. Her prices are way less than what she should be charging. Shame on the previous reviewer for such a complaint. Anyway, you should try to make an appointment with her so you can experience your own little transformation while she is still here in DC.

I walked in and was impressed by the nice ambiance, as Joya mentioned...but how completely deceiving. They told me a simple cut would be $35, so I arrived at 1.25pm for my appointment at 1.30 and they didn't take me until 1.50, and there was no one in the place on a Friday. I told her that I wanted a good trim off my really long hair - two to three inches off, and she even put her comb where she thought I wanted it to confirm, and it was right. I told her I wanted A LITTLE BIT of layering all around and A LITTLE BIT of angling in the front. My hair in the back previously fell to the middle of my back, and by the time she was done there were pieces that didn't even reach my neck. My front pieces used to be down to my breasts, and many of them now barely reach my chin. She overchopped about 8 inches in some places and 6 in others, and I literally began crying when I walked out of the place. Oh and when I paid, they charged me $45 (for a 15 minute cut - I even had to ask her to blow dry it) instead of their previously quoted $35. And to top it all off, they have a really sketchy credit card machine where you don't have to give your pin or sign, and the woman at the front desk was unfriendly and terse. They spent way too much money creating such a nice space to do hair so horribly!
