We loved our stay here at the campground. We stayed in the "F" loop, right on the lake. Water level was super low, but we didn't have any boating plans so it didn't impact us at all. Super clean & well kept. We've got our 4 legged child with us, and there were many others with theirs. The bathrooms were nothing to wright home about, but they were accessible and the showers were hot, all we could ask. Postcard beautiful location, and waking up surrounded by tall pines and calling geese was pretty amazing. Would absolutely recommend this campground as well as a stroll along the shore of this picturesque lake.

We stayed in a site next to the highway during the eclipse weekend, and it was quite loud due to the fire fighters and their trucks heading to Sisters.  The noise wasn't a problem since we were at the beach most of the time. We had full hookups for our camp trailer which was great.

The staff was courteous and very helpful and were easy to access if we had any questions or concerns.  

Not a fan of only two garbage cans on entire site.  The women's restrooms need some type of receptacle for women's products-not fun carrying them all the way to the visitors center to dispose.  Several campers left their bags of trash at their campsite when they left.  I appreciate all the different recycling bins that were placed next to the compactor.  We were surprised how clean the entire campground and beach were considering the lack of garbage cans.

We have had a 2 night reservation for 5 months.  We arrived early after the eclipse (everything was calm and normal) and the park ranger was so rude that we pulled out, cancelled the reservation and drove to South Beach in Newport where friendly rangers can be found.  Who needs rudeness.  Wish I got the rangers name.  The campground itself looks great right on lake but smoke from fires pretty bad.

I love coming to Detroit with my family and dogs and having a great time! Would recommend to any one looking for a place to camp.

This first part of this week is the second time I've camped here. Very nice as long as you don't have rude campers. We enjoy the swimming areas, the wildlife, the small store. The first night of a two-nighter was very pleasant and peaceful. The second night was a different story - several groups of campers moved in were loud and obnoxious well past 10:00 pm and the closest of the noisy groups were smoking weed. I guess I need to be finding out what recourse I have at that time of night to resolve these issues.
