Was looking for a Soul Food place to scratch an itch I was having and found this place that wasn't too far. The establishment isn't anything the rant or rave about but I do appreciate that it was clean.  I ordered a pork chop dinner with Mac & cheese and yams. The pork chops brought down the meal but I loved the sides. I have to go back to try some of their other meals but it isn't bad for the price.

Visited last Tuesday for the first time and the food was good. There were no other customers in sight so the wait wasn't too long. Besides not being greeted when we first walked in for the first couple minutes I don't have too many complaints. There was a faint smell and we noticed rugs hanging over some seats, but the doors were wide open so we figured they were just cleaning. Other than that the restaurant looked very clean. We ordered steak fries, shrimp, and a chicken stir fry which were all very good. I was surprised to see real steak meat and not thinly sliced steak-umms on the fries which I appreciated. The woman was nice and she did a good job cooking our food. I'd definitely return for another visit.

I placed an order for the first time from this restaurant on 8/22/21. The food was HORRIBLE!!! The lamb chops tasted gamey and were barely seasoned. The steak bites smelled awful and tasted like cheap store bought flank steaks that were poorly seasoned and overcooked. The smothered chicken breast was over cooked and very salty. The dressing was dry and crumbly and the macaroni and cheese tasted like it came out of a box. NOTHING WAS GOOD!! I spent over $70 and was very disappointed. I WILL NEVER, EVER ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN!!! THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE CLOSED!!! PLEASE BEWARE!!

Wow!!!! You've GOT to try this place!!! Customer service, was SUPERB!!!! Food came fast and hot, and OH SO DELICIOUS!. The rib tips are tender and the baked chicken tasty and juicy. They know their stuff! Give this rrestaurant a try, and I'm sure you'll agree! Thanks for the great experience, Detroit, let's EAT!!!

Food is delicious! Good variety to choose from. The man n cheese and steak bites are amazing not to mention the garlic butter stir fry bowls. Even if u have a taste for soul food the best place to eat in Detroit!

The food was great. The place is clean with excellent customer service. I would definitely recommend the lamb chops. The sides and banana pudding was great. I would recommend this place.

OMG Worst food we ever had Worst foodDon't never never buy food unless you taste samples nobody in my family like this food I should have noticedI should have noticed the food we should have noticed the food was nasty when we saw no other customers we should of known food was terrible. Nothing about this place is good and the red beans so salty it'll Blow your blood pressure up so high, worst food we ever ate hate we wasted our money.

The lady that runs the place is very nice  and friendly and down-to-earth and she really knows how to cook soul food Due to supply chain issues some menu items weren't available, but the daily specials are always good

The fried pork chop was seasoned so perfect and so tasty. Collard greens are yum. This was my 1st time there and I'll return again, the staff is really nice

The soul food wasn't seasoned well but my stir fry was in point!  My nephew loved his cat fish.
