A real lumber yard, massive inventory, large warehouse like "showroom" that is not for you Lexus folks... staff's a bit gruff, but it's a lumber yard so deal with it. Many things that you won't find in a H-D or Lowes, especially when it comes to wood. This is not a fast drive in/drive out place. You'll wait at the counter to inquire about your needs, then drive into the massive yard to pick out your lumber with a yardman, and finally check out at the counter. Long length dimensional lumber, pressure treated, various plywood (stay away from the crappy Chinese stuff!) , millwork, and hardwood. Lots of classic hardware and yard stuff, too.

If it's wood, and you need it, it is probably here. An experience. Like it used to be and hopefully will continue into the future. primarily for the tradesman and committed home improvement homeowner.

Second time I called to check stock and was told they had it. Drove an hour to find out they did not .Customer service that rivals comcast.Can a diamond turn back to coal. Maybe!

A country lumber store if there ever was one.
With the prevalence of all the big box shops in the area, it is nice to be able to go to a lumberyard where the people there know what they are talking about and know their product.

Diamond M is not your big box weekend home improvement warehouse, it's a wonderful old school lumberyard. If you can't find it here, chances are you're not going to find it. Professional sales counter with years of experience and knowledge. If you've got a question, don't hesitate to ask because this crew has an answer for you. These guys aren't the seasonal college student looking to make a few extra dollars while providing you with their opinion. These guys simply know what works. Don't look for polished floors or gimmicky sales flyers, you won't find them here. So if you want knowledgable folks with an endless supply of hard-to-find materials, look no further. 

Thanks for all your help over the years, your assistance and demeanor is what keeps bringing me back down that dirt road to the sales counter.

Counter people were knowledgeable, friendly/patient, helpful and the guy they have doing the loading is the same; my truck wouldn't start immediately and he was cool about it, so I gave him a $5 tip for loading a $25 square of roofing shingles for which he seemed quite surprised. They've been that way over the past 30 years. I'm going there tomorrow to shop for a sliding glass door and a garage door.

I'm perplexed about the less than stellar reviews.
