I normally really like Dick's Sporting Goods. I received a $25 off coupon in the mail and went to the store to use it. The idiot at the front desk said the coupon was online only. But the coupon did not have any writing on it that said "Online Only". He would not budge. So I had a terrible customer experience. I wish other sporting goods stores had not closed. I am stuck with Dick's. When there is no choice and the customer loses.

Very helpful staff but they are often short on different varieties (colors, sizes...) of goods. As long as you don’t want you running gloves specifically black (or any other thing/color,...) you can get pretty much everything.

The young man that me with my online order pick-up was quick and very helpful. Now when it came to another sales person helping us with runners socks had no clue they even existed. My wife give him the look that I'm familiar with which is move on. She found the socks herself and we showed them to him but he wasn't interested in hearing it. Finally the kid that help me with my running shows was attentive. Over all 4 out of 5 stars. He'd the kid helping out with the socks listened, you would have scored a 5 stars.

After entering the store, I looked for someone to tell me where the swim department was. I couldn't find a soul, and finally found a brand rep who told me to go upstairs. Again, couldn't find a live human to direct me, and when I finally did and asked where swim caps were, he pointed and said "You might find some over there". I might? Might you help me? I didn't find the type I wanted and decided I didn't want to spend any money here anyway. Went to Big Five (overall, not my favorite retailer, but...) and was greeted, helped to find what I wanted and treated like my purchase actually mattered. Dick's will not be getting any of my business in the future. Customer service still matters!

Great selection of sporting firearms. Prices over the MSRP on most of them. But then again, this is CA.
