The people who work here are helpful and kind. This is a very clean park. I enjoy camping with my Family and my Dog, but if you are not an animal person, they have a place to camp where no dogs are allowed too. There are fun hiking trails that range from easy to difficult, and the Naturalist who works there has Group Night Hikes. He also has special programs for kids and adults alike. The Lake is very pretty, but, there are no water sites. This doesn't take away from the beauty and cleanliness of the Beautiful Campground.

Pet friendly. Sites large but not private at all. Noisy RV partiers. In general not ideal for tent camping. (At least during popular camping times.) Facilities (shower house and flush toilets) were nice and clean. No place to put trash except in the bathrooms. Camp store is nice and there's great ice cream there and they're open until 9 but don't open very early in the morning. Hiking trails are great if you're a bit more experienced. They do have a couple further from the camp sites that are good for short, easy hikes. Plenty to do in the park including playgrounds in camping loops, ball courts, biking, boating, bridle trails, etc. There's a beach but pets aren't allowed.

Great lake overlooking site. It was clean and there are officers on duty too to ensure your safety. I assume this campground is not much crowded given that I was alone in the whole campground on a Saturday night. Park had plenty of firewood which you can collect from designated areas. This park is away from city and city lights so it is one of the best places to watch night sky too. I could see many constellations and Venus. Had a nice experience and would like to come back.
