Probably one of the best restaurants I've ever been in. House was built in 1776, and it's original to it's era. If you want an experience while dining this is it! The main restaurants prices are a bit high. The Tavern has some lower pricing, and is an experience to eat in as well. I had a steak and it was delicious! I highly recommend!

If you are in the area please go here. this place can transport you for a moment to those historical times of the famous city. people dress up at the time and eat by candlelight. the food is good. but PLEASE you must arrive earlier, around 11:30 a.m. to find a good site and parking

I would like to say first that I have enjoyed dining at the Dobbin house for 10 year or more I have always enjoy the soup and salad. Until this last visit. No longer did the French onion soup have any beef in it but the onion had reduced and leeks added, the cheese was very sparing and burnt to boot. I had also order a burger medium and got a hockey puck. Please don't change the soup recipe.

The restaurant is an experience in itself. The food was absolutely wonderful. We ate there for lunch. The prices were very reasonable. I would definitely recommend it. If you are in Gettysburg, you should go to the Dobbin House!

Quaint tavern with anything from sandwiches and salads to steak and lobster. We ate in the pub downstairs and there were candles lit at the tables and an almost romantic feel to the place. Will definitely return for another meal.
