I love the dollar king, however I've seen better than this location which is in Glendale. I am glad we have one in the neighborhood. Everything is $1.11 but worth the extra $0.11 you can also find seasonal items and occasions decoration like birthday, baby shower and gatherings.

Unfortunately, they do NOT accept EBT. That was a real bummer. The staff is not that great. And not much variety. They have great aloe vera juice though. So weird that it's called Dollar King, yet everything is $1.11 before tax; nothing is $1. Place is alright for an emergency only.

They have the best selection and tons of quality items for a dollar store... hint... everything is $1.11. Great for party supplies, school/teaching supplies, storage and containers, cleaning products, hardware, PETS section is AWESOME! I probably spend at least $150/month here when I work in Sunland! :)

I'm not usually one to complain and write bad reviews, but after this experience I felt compelled to do so. I was just there tonight and I left very angry. It's a cold night tonight, so I was wearing my hoodie & sweat pants. I guess that gives the employees the impression of me being a "criminal" or something. As I'm shopping, every single employee is passing by staring at me very rudely, as if I'm trying to steal something. You would think if all the employees pass by staring at you while you were there, that at least one of them would be asking if you needed help finding something, but instead they just made me feel like I had done something wrong. Then the moment I hear an employee on the loud speaker stating that the cameras are watching, is when I became livid & uncomfortable to continue shopping. I understand that there's a lot of homeless people & drug addicts that hang around there, but the fact they were so quick to judge me based off what I was wearing is completely disrespectful! I usually come here with my kids but I decided to make a quick trip here without them. My family & I were frequent customers of this store but after this we will no longer shop here anymore. I will also tell several people to avoid this store as well. I almost wanted to make a scene & call the manager out but decided to just buy my things & get out of there. Plus I had to get back to my kids. I did however call them once I got home & spoke to the manager, but she didn't seem to really care about my complaint. I am now willing to drive to the next city over to a better store.
