1. Office is very unorganized. They recently expanded their offices but not the staff. So you end up with a chaotic office every time you come in to sign in. I feel horrible for a staff lady named Rosy, the rest of the staff would always leave her with the heard of students to deal with every morning. You are expected to go to the office location to "sign in" and then drive to the yard. (Unproductive) which btw is at The Salvation Army facility. Every morning you will be searched and have you take a breathalyzer before entering. You are not allowed to eat indoors, you will get kicked out by Salvation Army staff. 2. The instructors-I mainly got assigned an instructor by the name of Herrera. He is awesome. He's very patient and knowledgeable. If I could give him 5 stars I would. He's the best person from this entire experience. The rest of the instructors I've only spent one hour with which is not fair to give a fair review on their teaching styles (I feel) On one day Lincoln (the owner) taught a classroom class on Air Brakes which was about an hour long. 3. Drive time and Skills practice time If you are looking to get your class A CDL I Wish you good luck on getting practice. They have 2 good trucks and one truck that is a joke. It always breaks down. I spoke to a student who went with me on one of my exam days to the DMV who said they sent a messed up truck with him his last time on the DMV. If you are looking to get your class B like I was good luck with that too. They are more focused on the Class A students that they neglect the class B. They only have one bus and one shuttle that was unavailable the entire time I was there. My instructor kept on getting pulled away from us (class b) to attend to the (class A) students. 4. DMV exam time! As mentioned before hopefully your instructor shows up with a working truck. In my case, one day of my DMV exam another (not my regular instructor) showed up with a truck. The DMV called us up because it was our turn and the instructor had to tell them that our bus for my exam wasn't there. Well then the bus showed up an hour later, and the DMV ended up giving my exam at 3:30 pm when I was there at 6:30 am as instructed by the school. Needless to say I failed with all the drama. 5. Re-examination-DMV scheduling After you fail. Which I did. I contacted the school to find out when I can get retested and when could I go back to practice more driving. I was made to feel like they didn't care because I failed. They couldn't give me an answer. I was told that they would get back to me. Finally I heard from my worker in which referred me to Dolphin through an Edd government program and she got answers for me. Never did the school get back to me to let me know when I could get retested and when I could go "practice". They reschedule you 3 weeks later! Such a waste of time! Specially for someone who is trying to start working Asap! 3 days before the DMV exam they call you to see if you can come in to "practice ". This school/ company is all about the money! The only ones who care I feel are the instructors at least that's how I felt. My instructor was the only one who made me feel like a person, not a number. ***** Response to Dolphins Reply****** Thank you for taking the time to reply to my review, however was this before or after Carla the "school director"/owner decided to call me and confront and yell at me about my review here? That was very unprofessional and speaks volumes! Please stop contacting me as I will not delete my review. I stand by what I stated as it is the truth. Why no one before me has had the guts to say anything is beyond me. There are many other things that were left unsaid. If anyone cares to inquire message me and I'll be more than happy to help. I hope that you can use this review as a tool to improve instead of deflecting and attempting to harass me with your phone call. I'm keeping documentation of my phone calls and logs. Good luck to you all.

My experience with Dolphin was excellent. Really nothing bad to say. Came in the door not knowing a damn thing about a truck and those instructors taught me everything that i needed to know to walk in the dmv and pass my class A with confidence on the first try. Each instructor has their own style of teaching but i learned from them all. I've heard of schools that give you video's to learn from, but these guys are hands on. They're out there showing you how to do a proper walk-around and in cab inspection. Most importantly how to do a proper air-brake inspection. Me personally, it was a case of applying myself at home with book work to what the guys taught me during the day and about 10 weeks later i passed everything the dmv asked me to do without a problem.

It has been a while since I graduated from Dolphin Trucking(May 2016), and I must say I had the best experience. They are very HELPFULL!! Teach you step by step. The driving I got the hang of it the first try. I just absolutely loved it even though at first I was very scared out of my mind. Every single penny is worth coming to this school. Thankfully now, I have a well paid career that I'm proud of doing. THANK YOU DOLPHIN TRUCKING SCHOOL:)
