Charged over $499 to do taxes. I dropped off my taxes and had a 45 minute meeting to prepare my taxes on april 3rd. I was curious as to what was going on and had not heard anything from them so I called them on april 11th to see why I had not heard from them. I received an email later that day with a list of questions which I responded to that same day. I continued waiting and because I thought taxes had to be filed by the 15th I called on the 14th worried that I had still not heard from them and thinking that the deadline was the 15th. The lady at the front desk told me they would get back to me the following week with an update on my taxes. On the morning of april 17th they called and let me know they had completed my tax return. I went In on april 17th with a significant receipt I had been looking for to have it added to the tax return. They informed me they did not have the time to worry about my additional receipt and that If I wanted to have it added they would charge me $50 to file an extension and add it to the tax return another day. I verified with the CPA I normally use (sadly who is retired) this process would have taken about 15 minutes. I will admit that I was working with them late in the tax season, however anyone that does not have 15 minutes to save me $50 is not someone I want to work with.
