Story

Located on the 1,200 acre Whitney Point lake, with its easily-accessible NYS DEC boat launch, Dorchester Park provides excellent opportunities for sailing, kayaking, canoeing and more. Bring your own boat, or take advantage of rental boats (Memorial Day-Labor Day). Come for boating, picnicking, swimming at the sandy beach, fishing, or just to relax, and perhaps catch a glimpse of a bald eagle soaring over the lake. Three picnic shelters may be reserved for larger gatherings or small family events.

Great park. Good time at the birthday party!

We take the scouts there every year. It is an amazing park with good fishing. Lake front is well maintained and fisherman seem to really enjoy the lake. The walk down to the dam is easy but enjoyable good for young families.

My boyfriend and I walked down the path towards the woods and got a little lost in there and we thought it was the end of the trail, we then turned around and just kept walking until we came upon a paved pathway and we enjoyed the walk

It's a nice park for events.  I've attended quite a few here over the years, and enjoyed them all.  There's a nice playground, a place to swim, and nice pavilions with quality grills; A lot of space that's well maintained.

Very nice park. There are different boats available for rent and you can also lunch your own boats. Various spots for fishing. There are barbecue grills.
