Our son & his partner enlightened us with this gem and tonight was our 2nd visit. The atmosphere is warm & cozy. The service is delightful. The food is fresh & delicious. We started with the salad special that was 10x tastier than it sounded or looked. We then had their AMAZING wood-fire pizzas...The Dough-Roni, This Little Piggy, and Butternut Squash...perfect crust, fresh toppings, and cooked to perfection. We finished with the best brownie I've EVER had & freshly baked chocolate chip cookies...oh boy my mouth is watery just thinking about it! This is top of its class pizza...A MUST TRY! PS not sure why some are giving less than 5 stars but trust me food, service, & ambiance it's 5 Stars PLUS ;
Stopped in as I was nearby looking for a good pizzeria/restaurant. Did not disappoint! A really pretty outdoor seating area on a beautiful day is the way to go. I had the meatball sandwich, with fresh mozzarella and it was amazing. Great flavor, the meatballs were tender and tasty, and the sourdough bread was a cool touch. I can’t wait to go back, I’ve told friends about it already.
Very good Neapolitan style pizza. I had the Margherita that was just perfect. Meatballs are good, zucchini crisps are very good. Wine is available no beer, though. Excellent service. Parking was easy. Price is fair considering that I had wine, too.
We don't eat out often, but when we do, my family almost always settles on Dough as our restaurant of choice, and they never disappoint! My two kids are two of the pickiest eaters to be found on Planet Earth, but the food is so good at Dough that they even tried and LOVE the zucchini crisps appetizer. Yes, Dough managed to get 2 kids who subsist on mac & cheese and hot dogs to fall in love with zucchini. My wife absolutely lives for the winter menu short rib pizza. At Dough I have tried and loved all sorts of things on pizza that I never would have thought to consider, like squash blossoms and hot honey. But the Winter Vibe pie I ate tonight was the crowning recipe of all the many delicious things I have eaten in their restaurant. Salami, Burrata made in-house, marinara, cherry pepper, oregano, and balsamic glaze. It was pizza perfection! All that deliciousness coupled with friendly ,engaging, ,attentive, knowledgeable and professional staff and a cozy, warm welcoming decor keep us coming back. It is telling that even in the quiet moments, every member of the Dough team is busy doing something... nobody is ever standing around with their hands in their pockets or leaning on a counter. Dough is a gem of a restaurant. Highly recommended!! Kid-friendliness: They have a kods' menu, high chair/boosters, and are super accommodating with requests to alter dishes for picky eaters.
A food is a little salty except gnocchi but very good overall. Def get the homemade gnocchi!!! Def will come again :
My wife and I had dinner here and it was just one of the very best experiences I've had. Our waitress Rachel was phenomenal and so accommodating. Their outdoor eating space was perfect even in the middle of a heart wave! We had their burrata, which was so GOOD! Their pizzas were stupid good. My wife recommends their sausage pie. We will definitely be returning.
This place was on my last to try and I was happy that I went there, the staff was friendly. I ordered the dough roni pizza it was on point very impressed. Definitely recommend this place.

Candidly, we were not as impressed with this place as we thought going there. We're from Union County, so a trip to Caldwell is, well, a trip. One could say this pizza spot was in a neighborhood that could use a bit more redevelopment and one could say there was limited nearby parking no onsite for this restaurant. The building is older and there is a step up for their entrance. Wood-fired pizza was adequate. We had a clam pie, sausage pie and the "She's My Cherry Pie" pizza. Plus the mac and cheese very good - one star for those alone. Only Boylans sodas - would have been nice to know when we ordered diet cokes. The zucchini crisps are phenomenal. Another star for that one. Service was very prompt and sincere, for my third star. Vegetarian options: A number of choices, plus notes on menu for vegan. Parking: None - see above. Wheelchair accessibility: None - see above regarding the front door and the step.
Dough Artisan Pizzeria makes a thin, light, and crispy pizza. They have a pizza special every week too you can find on Instagram. For appetizers I had the burrata and just peachy. The burrata was good, but I didn’t like the just peachy appetizer at all! The peaches were cut very thin, and they were dried out. They weren’t sweet or juicy. For pizzas I had the Shroom and the whole burrata pizza with bok choy topped with a truffle balsamic glaze. Both pizzas were very good! Even though both pizzas were thin they didn’t fall apart when you picked up a slice to eat it. For desserts I had the chocolate chip cookies and the vegan coconut cake. The chocolate chip cookies were good! The vegan coconut cake’s icing was delicious! The actual cake itself though wasn’t moist. I’m thinking because maybe it’s vegan. It was still good enough to order again because I loved the icing! This is a very popular place so if your planning to come on the weekend make reservation online. I recommend Dough Artisan Pizza in Caldwell!
