Sometimes it is the small things in life that matter i.e. A Douglas County Officer at 8:00 a.m. on 9-13-17 just off Lucent Blvd. near C-470 helped an elderly lady change out a flat tire. Officers that "go the extra mile" to help anyone especially senior citizens in day to day life need to be recognized. We need as many officers as we can get like the one I mentioned above in every county and every city in Colorado!

2-2-17. Went in to get fingerprinting for CDE. Woman behind the front window was incredibly rude. She seemed incredibly bothered that she had to work with me. Good Customer Service should apply to government agencies too. It was not the case here.

Had requested an accident report online and was told to come in to the substation to pick it up, when I did the woman at the front desk was incredibly rude and short with me , I realise I was wearing a hoodie and have pretty long hair ( best way to put it I look like a hippe) still no reason to be so rude

On August 10, 2016 I was on my way to pick my daughter up from her first day of school at Eldorado Elementary in Highlands Ranch. Upon driving up I noticed there was no where to really park, I usually park on the street (Timbervail Trl). The school has a "one-way-in one-way-out" policy, like most schools do. At the exit, there is a "Do not Enter" sign but NOT a "No U Turn" sign. So as I'm driving I see there is parking on the other side of the street. So i drive up a little more to the exit, I make sure no cars coming out and I flip a slow "U turn", and again there is no "No U Turn" sign at the exit. So i go up and pull off to the side of the road to park, I was straightening out my parking, and that's when a DC Sheriff pulled up so close to my car I thought he was going to hit me, I couldn't get out of my car or move it if I wanted to, he trapped me in with his car. This police officer proceeds to ask me if I know what traffic violations are? At first I'm shocked by the approach and question. ( I understand that my little "U Turn" was illegal, but his approach and nasty tone were unnecessary!) so I'm baffled at this point and then he continues by asking me multiple times if I know how to read, and that there are TWO "No U turn" signs, one at the entrance and exit. I checked there is NOT!. I said I'm sorry, and AGAIN he asks me if I know how to read. So he sits there for a couple of minutes and gives me a very disrespectful, nasty lecture on "U Turns" and crap, like I was a stupid criminal, mean time he is backing up traffic in a school zone. Here's the thing I'm Hispanic, and I stand out in this community, but I have lived here for over 6 years, I pay my taxes and HOA Fees. I have NEVER been arrested or to jail. I don't have a criminal record. I have a college education, a medical background and I own my own business. I don't even drink alcohol or do drugs and to be talked to like i was stupid and to be treated like a criminal was totally uncalled for especially when I'm a mother just picking my kid up from her first day of school! He could have simply and politely told me that you cant take a right hand turn into a "Do Not Enter" Zone or even given me a ticket, that would have been much better than the way he was treating me. Right after he is done insulting me TWO cars make the EXACT same "U turn" that I made and he does absolutely NOTHING to them! I have never felt so disrespected in my life and I strongly feel I was racially profiled! He is not a police officer here for the good of the community, hes a bully with a badge!
