Michelle is  my stylist. She is AWESOME! She is a perfectionist with color and  finding a cut that works best for me.  Michelle is a very detailed stylist.  If you are looking for something new, give Michelle a try.  I also  enjoyed a complementary  hand massage during my visit  at Douglas J’s.

I had Haley Held cut my hair and i was more than impressed by the job she had done. She made it look the best it has been in years. She deserves more credit than she gets. She was engaged the whole time, had an intriguing conversation with me during the whole cut, overall she did an amazing job! I can't wait until she gets a salon spot somewhere. I will most likely make the commute to that spot. It's not just her but most of the people there do an amazing job, from what i have seen, keep up the  good work!

I like to go here for pedicures because the price is so reasonable. However, it used to be that you would get to keep the bottle of nail polish and the service was a lot longer and the quality of work was higher. My last two experiences I had staff that complained a lot about the amount of work they had to do and the terrible hours they had to complete or they would be seated next to their friend and would chat about their personal lives. It's a spa like setting and it gets interrupted by their complaining. I know their skill set is not focused on nails, but their quality of work could be improved.

I’ve never left a bad review before but I can honestly say I left here with one of the worst haircuts I’ve received. The stylist seemed pretty unsure throughout the whole thing and at one point nearly sprayed alcohol instead of water on my hair. She had asked me if I prefer longer or shorter layers and I had said I preferred short because I like to wear my hair a bit messy/shaggy. During the process she seemed to have forgotten where I part my hair and just started cutting it as if I had a mid part (I have a heavy side part). I ended up leaving with visible, uneven, blunt cut ledges all through out my hair and my “trim” took about an inch and  half off  the bottom (which was also cut really unevenly). They do try hard to keep a good atmosphere and I know they’re just learning, but even the educator had a hard time trying to get my bangs to lay down because of a couple cowlicks so they ended up just being pushed back. I had a friend who went there and I know she can do good work as an esthetician, so don’t discount it for that. But I can’t recommend coming here for a haircut, I’m just glad I decided to not go with the pixie cut when I got in there, at least I can get it to fix my hair somewhere else now in a couple of weeks.
