Engage the public, community organizations and all levels of government to improve the health and readiness of the people of Douglas County.
Douglas Public Health Network was begun in 2015 to participate in a new way to provide public health services in Douglas County.
Several local not for profit agencies came together to form a new not for profit organization (501c3 application pending).
In December 2015, DPHN signed a contract with Douglas County to provide communicable disease and emergency preparedness services.
Other community partners providing services include:
Umpqua Community Action Network (UCAN) will provide WIC services and nurse visiting services.
Umpqua Community Health Center (UCHC) will provide immunization services, women’s’ health, family planning and sexually transmitted disease (STD) and HIV services.
ADAPT will provide tobacco prevention services and healthy communities programs Lower Umpqua Hospital will provide immunization and family planning services
