The Dover School is a community-centered learning environment that provides all of its students with a strong foundation for a lifelong interest in learning so that they may become responsible members of an ever-changing society.
We believe that:
All students can learn. Students learn in different ways and should be provided with a variety of instructional approaches and assessments to support their learning. Students learn best when they are actively engaged in the learning process. Self esteem and learning are enhanced by a safe environment, positive relationships, and mutual respect among and between students and staff. Parents, teachers, administrators and the community share responsibility for advancing the school’s mission. Celebrating differences among people will provide the opportunity for increased understanding and respect.
