Dover Housing Autoirtuy is a non-profit,public corporation created under state laws, and operating programs under Federal and State Laws.
The Authority owns, operates and manages five Public-Housing Low-Income developments with 280 units: Colonial Gardens/Hayes Circle, Senate View, Queen Manor, Manchester Square/Court, and Derby Estates.
The Authority administers a Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program. The Authority’s annual allocation is 190 Housing Choice Vouchers and 30 Mainstream
Vouchers.
The Authority administers a Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program (LIHTC). The Authority, along with its partners own, operate and manage two Low Income Tax Credit Developments with 77 units: Owens Manor, LP, a 60-unit apartment facility for senior citizens; and Willis Road Commons, 17 unit townhouse community for families.
The Dover Housing Authority is committed to encouraging low income families to achieve economic self-sufficiency by providing services and programs that empower families. The ultimate mission of the Authority is to provide safe, sanitary, decent housing to low income families in the City of Dover.
