The library is clean, well organized, appropriate ly quiet, and reasonably stocked. The bathrooms smell however, or at least the men's bathroom does. The librarians are very helpful. Went on a Saturday to find books I could use in writing a lesson plan for heart of darkness and things fall apart. I was able to get what I needed within a decent time frame.they were a many transients Who sit on the benches outside. I suspect that is the reason for the horrible bathroom smell. Aside from that however I had a pleasant experience

The Dover public library is, by far, the nicest library I've ever been in. The staff there are very friendly and extremely helpful. The children's area is perfect in every way! My 4 kids LOVE going to the library now and ask everyday to go there. Most of the staff have the patience to deal with children being children there. They understand that young children don't always use library voices and can't sit still very long. We went from not going to a library at all to now going to the Dovee public library 3-4 times a week!!

Absolutely gorgeous. Love the new design. It was a long time coming for sure! Definitely worth the wait
