This was the 3rd dentist she has seen she is very capable of sitting still and letting them work, but everyone wants to put her to sleep, we’ve talked and went through steps, and she was ready and excited, then we sit in waiting room where they have tablets and toys, anyone who has a child knows if there’s a tablet in a room it’s going to very hard to get them out of it. So that was the first struggle, I told the dentist to talk to her about what he was going to do so it doesn’t seem so sudden to her, he could barely even speak English to me, he had a terrible accent, he numbed her and that was it, she didn’t want to do it anymore they tried the laughing gas she was not having it, but he didn’t explain anything to her he just tried to get to work like!!?? I just told u so she wouldn’t get upset but I do not recommend this place to anyone. All they wanted to do is put her under from the start. And that’s not happening she is 4 years old. I think he needs to do oldernkids smaller ones are def not his strong suit if u ask me. He needs to be more kid friendly, like seriously put a rainbow on ur jacket or something ur a kids dentist. And u act like it’s just a job and if the kid won’t do what u say u just wanna knock them out? Like seriously? Then as I go home they didn’t give me any info or tell me what steps or precautions to take with her numb mouth, 2 1/2 hours passed she wants to play with her playdoh I let her play with it and she somehow finds a pack of gummies she only ate a couple before I realized what was going on and I look at her mouth and it’s almost purple! She bit her lip! I didn’t give her gummies, but I assumed it wasn’t numb anymore, but still the fact is her lip is swollen and bleeding now! I call them and they had the audacity to tell “we’ll your child’s mouth is numb u need to keep an eye on her” OH HELL NO. U know u didn’t even tell me how long this would last, what she should eat/drink, what I should do if something happens NOTHING. JUST STRAIGHT BY and here talk to this dentist~ I am just completely done with this place. I would rather go back to kool smiles and that’s saying something. I was watching my child. Children are sneaky and she knew she wasn’t supposed to have gummies. Hints why she was trying to hide it. Rant over I’m just done with this place.

My 3 children have seen Dr . Brown since tooth number 1. Now we are about to apply braces! We absolutely love Dr Brown and love the staff! My youngest suffered a stroke and Dr Brown takes very good care and precautions when treating him. The dental hygienist are absolutely dolls! Such a sweet and caring staff. We would not switch dentist for anything.

Very nice Staff and fast. Thanks Dr. Brown my son had 2 teeth pulled hes 8 yr old he didnt even cry. Great service. Thanks again

Everyone in the office has been very helpful and friendly. We did have kind of a long wait in the waiting room but that happens sometimes. My daughter was 2.5 on her first visit and was very nervous and hesitant.  The hygienists were very kind, friendly, and patient with her. Dr. Brown was in and out very quickly but that seems to be the norm with dentists. He did answer all my questions before leaving. No one was ever rude to us. Only gave 4 stars because of the wait. The staff and the visit was great otherwise.

Do NOT take you children to the pediatric dental care of Va that is on Starkey road. Yesterday my son had a 9am appointment we got there a little early and waited outside for them to open the doors. Finally at 9:25 someone comes out and opens the door and I was never offered an explanation or even got an apology for it. Then after getting the paper work filled out they call him back and do a couple of x-rays and the nurse asks if this was his first dentist appointment and I told her it was. Then they take us back to a room and he is getting his teeth clean which of course he is not enjoying. And by the time she is done cleaning them he is crying and then she immediatedly tried to get him to rinse and floss before i could even get him calmed down. The whole time we are being rushed through the appointment and the nurse even makes the comment that she has to hurry up and get him done. Yes really she said that after us waiting outside the building for half an hour. Then the dentist comes in looks at my son's teeth says something to the nurse and then leaves the room never saying anything to me. By the end of the appointment he is just crying in my arms. Now my son it traumatized by this experience and hates the idea of the dentist. Just wanted to put this out there so other children don't have to go through this! Definitely pick somewhere else!
