There is a reason why Dr. Fickey wins Best in Denton. Lots of reasons actually. He's got a tremendous amount of expertise. He is medically very conservative and does not push unnecessary procedures on you. He is great with children. He has a great staff that makes us feel like family and an office that feels more like home than a dental office. He is one of the most down to earth guys you will ever meet. We have a big family (8 children) and we've been going to Dr. Fickey since we moved to the area in the early 90's.  There is none better and nicer.

this guy is either blind or incompetent, Reinstalled my bridge crooked. Nice guy, just doesn't pay attention to what he's doing.

I have had poor experiences throughout my life with dentists - including recommendations of unnecessary procedures, fillings that hurt for months after completed because of uneven surfaces, and dentists who seem like they think they know my mouth better than I do when I voice a concern. As a polar opposite, DR. FICKEY IS THE BEST DENTIST I HAVE EVER USED (out of at least a dozen)!! He listens to concerns, takes his time, is careful, considerate, and does a thorough job - EVERY TIME. I am so satisfied with his service that even after I moved, I now happily drive 46 miles one way to meet with him for my appointments. He is a living treasure. I can't say enough. (His assistant, Rhonda, who performs my teeth cleanings is wonderful as well.)

I recently had some fillings done there, and Dr. Fickey and his staff were fantastic.  The building is a historic home (relaxing atmosphere), the music playing is NOT muzak, and Dr. Fickey did a great job.  He explains everything thoroughly, and the staff is a pleasure to communicate with.  I'll glady pay out-of-network costs for this dentist.
