I went to Dr Lee after having several bad nosebleeds, and also experiencing some hoarseness. After performing a procedure with a scope, Dr. Lee told me I had an infected Thornwald cyst in the back of my throat, that it was very serious, and needed to be treated with antibiotics. He gave me shot of antibiotics, plus prescribed a two week dose of oral antibiotics. After a week, I was sick from the antibiotics, and still having nosebleeds. I called his office and told his assistant I was bleeding from my left nostril. When I called back, because I had not heard from the doctor, she told me the doctor was not concerned that I was bleeding from my ear. When I told her the problem was nosebleeds, she asked me why I told her I was bleeding from my ear. She thought the word "nostril" meant ear. But back to the doctor...after two weeks I returned to see him, he performed another scoping procedure, told me the infection was still there and that I would probably need surgery because it was very serious, and we needed to pray about it. He then gave me another shot of antibiotics, and changed my oral antibiotic. I spent the next four weeks on antibiotics, and returned to see Dr. Lee. After another scoping procedure, Dr. Lee told me the infected cyst was still there, we discussed surgery and he prescribed more antibiotics (the ones that made me sick, and he was angry when I called to question this) and sent me for a CAT scan. I took the CAT scan to another doctor for a second opinion. He told me there was nothing on the scan that would indicate a cyst or an infection, that a cyst in my throat would not have caused nosebleeds, and within minutes cauterized my nose to prevent more nosebleeds. He also sent me for an MRI, just because of the discrepancy in diagnosis. I do believe Dr. Lee would have performed a surgery on nothing, given the chance. He charged me $175 each time I saw him, for the scoping and that shot, and his office told me it was not covered by insurance. He caused me to take three months of antibiotics I didn't need, and also to go through a CAT scan and MRI to look for something that wasn't there in first place. The worst of this is that I told Dr. Lee when I first saw him that I was preparing for heart bypass and valve replacement surgery, and needed to make sure I was free of infection before the surgery. He held up my heart surgery for over three months with his bogus diagnosis.

Dr. Lee took very good care of me when I had sinus and ear issues. He immediately gave me a prednisone injection, which he said would help me feel better right away, which no ENT had done before. And later, when my ear became impacted with fluid, he was very efficient in clearing that up. He was also very compassionate, and whenever I went in for an apppointment, he explained everything to me in detail, and he always answered all my questions. He has a tremendous amount of patience. He takes time, and he has always been available when I have needed to go in, and when he was not in the office, his colleague Dr. Chu was very helpful and kind. Also his staff is very helpful. They went way out of their way to help me get my money back from Blue Cross for a very expensive prescription, which took a lot of their time. The hearing test staff is also extremely friendly and efficient. I would recommend Dr. Lee if any of my good friends or colleagues need an ENT.

I went in with a cough and a bad cold and Dr. Lee gave me a shot and told me it was a cold. I didn't like getting injected with drugs, but I thought, well if it gets rid of the cold it's fine. Went back for a check up feeling fine, just a little lingering cough. Dr. Lee put Novocaine into my sinuses for 10 minutes then put a camera up my nose and down my throat. I've had many colds in my life and this procedure was never presented to me as an option before. It was horribly uncomfortable and I didn't feel as though I had a choice. Then he gave me two more shots and I felt terrible afterward. I tried to walk down the hall to the reception station after sitting in the office for 10 minutes and WENT BLIND for about 5 minutes. I canceled my second follow up the next day and will never go back to that office. Now I got a bill from my insurance company and I owe almost $300 for "surgical procedures" and "treatments" that I didn't want in the first place.

This doctor was first off really rude and careless to his patients. Other people complained about his service too, and questioned whether he is capable of treating anyone. He guessed what kind of condition I had too, and gave me all kinds of medicine which didn't work. He just wanted to make money on my frequent visits. I've been sick to my stomach because he gave me some funky medicine which didn't help my condition. If you need to go to a trusty worthy doctor, then I suggest you look else where.
